Corrections Policy

Our Commitment to Getting It Right

Accuracy is the foundation of trust, especially when a website publishes information about nail health, nail care, and dietary supplements. Despite careful research and review, mistakes can happen: a statistic may be misread, a regulation may change, or a sentence may be unclear. When that happens, we believe the right response is to fix it quickly, openly, and without defensiveness.

This Corrections Policy explains how we find and correct errors, how we tell readers about changes, and how you can report a problem. It works together with our Editorial Policy and our Feedback Policy. To learn more about who we are, visit our About Us page.

Who Is Responsible

The editor named on our Editor Profile page is responsible for reviewing correction requests and approving every correction, update, and removal. This applies equally to content written by people and to content prepared with technology assistance, as described in our Artificial Intelligence Use Policy.

What We Correct

We correct or update content when we identify any of the following:

  • Factual errors: Incorrect statistics, misattributed sources, wrong ingredient information, or inaccurate descriptions of research
  • Outdated information: Statements that were accurate when published but no longer reflect current research, regulatory guidance, or product information
  • Misleading or unsupported claims: Language that overstates evidence, implies a disease claim, or suggests guaranteed results
  • Missing or unclear disclosures: Affiliate or advertising relationships that are not disclosed clearly and conspicuously, as required by the FTC’s Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255)
  • Broken or inaccurate links and citations: Dead links, wrong URLs, or sources that no longer support the statement they are attached to
  • Image and caption errors: Incorrect labels, misleading illustrations, or images used in a way that could mislead
  • Typographical and grammatical errors that affect meaning or readability

Types of Changes and How We Label Them

Not every change is the same, so we treat them differently:

1. Minor Edits

Spelling, punctuation, formatting, and small wording improvements that do not change the meaning of the content. These are made quietly and are not individually labeled. The “last reviewed” or “updated” date may change.

2. Updates

Additions or revisions that reflect new research, new guidance, or changes in product information. These are marked with an updated date, and where the change is meaningful, a brief note explaining what was updated.

3. Corrections

Changes that fix a factual error or a misleading statement. These are clearly labeled on the page, for example:

4. Retractions or Removals

If content is fundamentally inaccurate, cannot be verified, or could mislead readers in a way that cannot be fixed with an edit, we may remove it or replace it with a notice explaining why. We do not silently delete material that has materially affected readers when transparency is appropriate.

Our Correction Process

  1. Report or discovery: An error is reported by a reader, regulator, expert, or our own team during review.
  2. Acknowledgment: For reports sent with contact details, we aim to acknowledge receipt within [2 to 3 business days].
  3. Investigation: The editor checks the claim against the original source and, where needed, reputable references such as the FDA, the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, MedlinePlus, or the American Academy of Dermatology.
  4. Decision: We determine whether a correction, update, clarification, or no change is needed.
  5. Correction: Confirmed errors are fixed and labeled according to the categories above.
  6. Follow-up: Where the reporter provided contact details, we aim to reply within [7 to 10 business days] with the outcome.

Errors that could affect reader safety, such as inaccurate health information, or that involve a misleading claim or missing disclosure, are treated as high priority and addressed as quickly as possible.

Corrections After Regulatory or Scientific Changes

Health and advertising rules change. If a regulator or scientific body issues new guidance that affects our content, we review the affected pages and update them. Sources we monitor include:

How to Report an Error

If you believe something on this website is inaccurate, outdated, or misleading, please contact us:

To help us review your report efficiently, please include:

  1. The title and URL of the page
  2. The specific statement you believe is incorrect
  3. An explanation of why it is incorrect
  4. Supporting sources or links, if available
  5. Your name and email, if you would like a response (anonymous reports are accepted, but we cannot reply to them)

Please do not include sensitive personal health information in your message. Reports are handled in line with our Privacy Policy, and your rights under laws such as the GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) are explained there, along with our Cookie Policy.

Corrections and Commercial Relationships

ProNail Complex participates in affiliate marketing and may earn a commission if you purchase a featured product through our links, at no additional cost to you. Our commercial relationships do not influence whether we correct an error. If a correction makes a page less favorable to a product, we make it anyway. Read more in our Monetization Policy.

Third-Party Information and Seller Content

Product details such as pricing, packaging, guarantees, shipping terms, and availability are controlled by the seller and can change without notice. We make reasonable efforts to keep our descriptions accurate, but the seller’s official website and order page are the final source for that information. We do not process orders, payments, shipping, or refunds. If you spot a discrepancy between our content and the seller’s current terms, please tell us so we can review it.

Reporting Health Concerns

If you experience an adverse reaction after using a dietary supplement or other health product, stop use and seek medical attention if needed. You may also report the problem to an authority such as FDA MedWatch (U.S.), Health Canada MedEffect, or the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme (U.K.).

What This Policy Does Not Cover

  • Differences of opinion: We may decline to change content when a disagreement concerns interpretation or preference rather than accuracy, but we will explain our reasoning where we can.
  • Third-party websites: We are not responsible for the content of external sites we link to, though we will review links reported as broken or misleading.
  • User comments: Comments, if enabled, reflect the views of their authors. We may remove comments that are abusive, misleading, or unsafe.
